After a long development time, MiWER is proud to launch its new website. Designed to be easy to use on smartphones, tablets and desktops, this new site make use of blogs to allow feedback from readers. There may be the occasional broken link but we are working to fix all of these. Enjoy,

Success at IMWA 2014

Fatien Macdonald was the runner up for the best student talk given at the International Mine Water Association Congress held in Xuzhou, China. A big congratulations to Fatien on this impressive achievement.

MiWER goes to the International Mine Water Congress 2014, Xuzhou, China

Mark Lund and Fatien Macdonald attended the recent IMWA Congress in Xuzhou, China. Mark presented a talk entitled ‘Are we approaching pit lake closure from the wrong perspective?‘ co-written with Melanie Blanchette and Fatien the presented a talk ‘Regulation of artisanal small scale gold mining (ASGM) in Ghana and Indonesia as currently implemented fails to adequately protect aquatic ecosystems‘ with Mark, Melanie and Clint McCullough as co-authors.
